What Moonleaf is

Moonleaf is a story app for families. Adults create an account, save reusable characters if they want to, and generate narrated storybooks with text, illustrations, and read-aloud audio.

This page explains, in plain language, what information Moonleaf uses to run the product and how that information is handled.

Information Moonleaf collects

Account information such as your email address, sign-in method, profile name, avatar, and basic account preferences.
Character details that you choose to add, including names, appearance descriptions, optional personality notes, and optional uploaded reference photos.
Story requests and story outputs, including prompts, themes, voice choices, generated text, illustrations, narration, favorites, and sharing choices.
Technical and reliability data needed to operate the app, such as browser details, timestamps, and error logs.

How Moonleaf uses that information

To sign you in securely with Google or email login and keep your account available across sessions.
To personalize stories for your family and generate story text, images, and narration through Moonleaf's service providers.
To store your library, reusable characters, preferences, and public sharing settings.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve product reliability.

When information is shared

Moonleaf uses third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, and AI-powered story generation.
If you create a public story link or publish to Story Garden, the shared story output becomes visible to people with that link or to signed-in Moonleaf users who can view that feed.
Saved character records and uploaded character photos are kept private by default, but generated story art may reflect the likeness or details you chose to provide.
Moonleaf may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Children's privacy

Moonleaf is intended for adults to use on behalf of children. Please only submit information for a child if you are their parent or guardian or otherwise authorized to do so.

Avoid including sensitive medical, financial, government ID, or other highly confidential information in prompts, character fields, or stories.

Your choices

You can manage saved characters, story content, sharing settings, and many account preferences from inside the app.
You can stop using Google Sign-In at any time and use another supported login method if it is enabled on your account.
Moonleaf does not sell personal information and is designed around a calm, ad-free family experience.
